Privacy policy
This policy covers Ace Retailing Services (“Ace Retailing”, “we”, “us”) and the website at aceretailing.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not sell personal information and we do not run mailing lists off this site.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you use the contact form or send an order through a brand’s order sheet, we collect what you type: your name, business or store name, email address, phone number, your message, the brand and quantities you asked about, and the page you sent it from. We also record the browser type that sent it, which helps us tell people from bots.
Information collected automatically
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address and does not identify you. Our hosting provider keeps standard, short lived server logs to run and secure the site.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and no cookie banner is needed. The contact form and brand search work without cookies.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry, quote on a range, or put an order through for your store.
- To keep a record of enquiries and orders so we can follow up properly.
- To keep the website secure and understand which pages are useful.
- We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to keep in touch.
Who sees it
Enquiries go straight to Steve Smith and the Ace Retailing team. To run the site we use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf and under their own security commitments:
- Vercel hosts the website and provides analytics. Servers may be located outside Australia.
- Supabase stores enquiry records in a database hosted in the Asia Pacific region.
- Resend delivers the enquiry email to us.
Where an enquiry concerns a brand we represent, we may pass your business name and order to that supplier or to the wholesale distribution centre so the order can be filled. We do not otherwise disclose personal information unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept while we are dealing with you and for as long as we need them for our business records, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Enquiry records are stored in a database that only our server can write to and only the team can read. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us anything you would not want us to hold, such as bank details.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email steve@aceretailingservices.com.au or ring 0402 711 100. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Links to other websites, including the brands we represent and our partners, are governed by those sites’ own policies.

- The information on this site is general in nature and may change without notice. Ranges, availability and states served change as suppliers and distribution arrangements change. Confirm anything that matters with us before you rely on it.
- Sending an order through an order sheet is a request. It becomes an order when we or the supplier confirm it with you. Pricing, minimums and delivery are as agreed with the supplier or the distribution centre.
- Brand names, logos and product descriptions belong to their owners. Ace Retailing content, including copy, photographs and video, belongs to Ace Retailing Services and may not be reproduced without permission.
- We do our best to keep the site available and accurate, but we are not liable for loss arising from your use of it or from interruptions to it, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
